As we mark the anniversary of our Old Bank Atelier, I find myself reflecting on the kind words we’ve received over the past two years—so many of you have said, “It feels like stepping into a European boutique.” This sentiment perfectly captures the vision that inspired this space—born from my love of wandering through European ateliers and brocantes, where discovery is a delight and the unexpected is always around the corner.

I wanted this store to be more than a retail space—I envisioned a place where history lingers in every corner, where timeworn treasures whisper their stories. The air carries the scent of beeswax and candlelight, casting a warm glow over crystal chandeliers, towering candelabras, centuries-old leather-bound books, and distressed oil portraits—each piece a tribute to the elegance of bygone eras.

Old Bank Atelier was designed to transport those who share a love for the European aesthetic, those who long to step into another time and place. It embraces the moody, the dramatic, and the beautifully imperfect—where every visit holds an element of surprise.

Among its many treasures, one of my favourites is the magnificent four-meter-long antique French bank teller, sourced from the outskirts of Paris—a grand statement of craftsmanship and history. And then, there’s the portrait staircase, where my cherished collection of oil paintings lines the stairwell, each face holding secrets of another time.

As we celebrate this special milestone, I am deeply grateful to share this space with those who find beauty in the past, who revel in the romance of history, and who seek inspiration in the art of the old and the rare.
